I’m very happy to hear that :) I go out of my way to try and find original ways to teach these topics which have been covered by thousands. I’m most excited that I have made you more interested in web design. It is absolutely amazing what you can do with computers!
been watching a lot of videos and i gotta say thank you sir! I’m not an html css beginner, but you really made me push the envelope and make me want to know more about the little details that can make your website cooler. I mean, CURSOR 😀 how cool is that!?
You’re very welcome Jerry 🙂 I’m very happy that you enjoy them. I do my best to simplify everything. Yours is the best compliment I can get!
Wow, Derek, you have the best tutorial videos on website programming I have ever seen. I can’t thank you enough for all your help, you take the mystery and frustration out of learning what some have made to look as complex as building and launching a space shuttle! Thank you immensely. -Jerry
Save them in the same folder. That would probably be the easiest way
Sorry to be dense, but how do you connect the css file to the html page. How do you save your files so that the href=”stylesheet.css” is correctly found by the html index page?
It may help to print out the code from the videos and take notes. That seems to help most people. Always feel free to ask questions

You’re very welcome 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to tell me it helped!
I absolutely loved your video lesson, it’s quick, clear and full of useful info, thanks a lot!
Thank you 🙂 I do my best to present everything in a new way. I’m glad you like them
now im a fan of your tuts
Thank you 🙂 I use fixed width and height at times so just increase them. Otherwise you can use a liquid layout. Does that help
Thanks for your great videos. One problem I have been experiencing is auto adjusting the sidebar height… for example if I give the sidebar a background color of red and the content area a background of white and as I add more content to the content area and it increase in height.. then white space goes underneath the sidebar because it doesn’t increase when the content area increase. How do I make the red sidebar increase as well so I won’t have that white area underneath it? Thanks in advance
You are still welcome 🙂
You’re great. Great pace, I hate it when videos have such a slow pace. This video had everything I needed to know. You don’t need to say you’re welcome. I see all the other ones below. 🙂
OK that sounds good
I’ve uploaded it to my web hosting provider, however I’m waiting for a domain transfer and it will take a few days before I can access it. I will notify you as soon as it is accessible and thank you so much in taking the time. I’ll be watching your videos in the meantime 🙂
Is the site online some place? It is easiest for me to spot problems if I can look at the site online
I’m going nuts trying to get the locked layout to work for me. I did it successfully on one layout and for some reason cannot find the difference in my remake.
#Table_01 {
position:relative;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
top: 0px;
width:1600px;
height:1417px;
top-margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
}
If you could please look at this or contact me i’d be greatly appreciative. I love the videos and thank you so much for the help you’ve given the community.
Thank you 🙂 I’m glad to hear that
